Copyright Policy

How to identify material on this website when raising a copyright concern.

Where to send a notice

For material on dmcaip.com, email dmca@dmcaip.com. For postal delivery, use the copyright contact in the Imprint. A consultation about another site does not submit a notice to that site.

What to include

Identify the owner and the work, the exact location of the material, your contact details and signature. Confirm your good-faith belief that the owner, its agent and the law do not authorize the use; affirm accuracy and your authority to act under penalty of perjury. Consider licenses and exceptions before signing.

Identify the page and work

Provide the exact page address, describe the material at issue and identify the original work. If possible, include a public reference that helps locate the relevant passage, image or recording.

Explain your authority

State whether you own the relevant rights or represent the owner. Identify the rights at issue and provide contact details for a response. Use the receiving service’s designated procedure for a formal notice where applicable.

Correct a report from DMCA IP

If you believe DMCA IP reported your material in error, email dmca@dmcaip.com with the platform and report reference, each affected URL, and a short explanation of the mistake or permission. Reference any license without attaching confidential documents in your first message. Trust & Safety reviews the disputed match with the enforcement team. A formal counter-notice must go to the platform through the procedure in its removal notice. Contacting DMCA IP does not file that counter-notice.
